Holiday In Paradise

The Shoalhaven area is full of picturesque beaches, and is the perfect spot to enjoy a holiday.

In the Summer of 2019/2020, a lot of the area was devastated by fires. Then with COVID, the area has been really struggling as they rely heavily on tourism!

In February 2021 my family and I went on a glorious holiday in Jervis Bay and it was perfect. A family holiday that we will always remember!

I would recommend everyone to go on a holiday or weekend getaway to the Shoalhaven area, it is a pristine piece of paradise.

There is a Shoalhaven Challenge (shoalhaven.com) that can guide you to the perfect holiday. It gives you plenty of ideas to encourage you to help the area bounce back from all the devastation they have experienced. Some of the activities include:

Let’s go to The Entrance!

We had a great long weekend at The Entrance. Have you been to The Entrance on NSW Central Coast? It is a glorious place to visit.

The Entrance

We stayed in a lovely cabin situated in a small family-run caravan park. It is only walking distance to both the beach and The Entrance shops.

Blue Bay Caravan Park

The Entrance has some great vintage shops and vintage markets at Toukley. We bought some great items at great prices! Toukley has a great shop called Suicide Glam, where I purchased way too many items.

There are many fantastic beaches, whale and dolphin watching tours and an old lighthouse that also has a tour to the top of the lighthouse.

So many restaurants to choose from, the marina, and pelican feeding….

There is a fantastic national park near Budgewoi, called Munmorah State Conservation Area, which is well worth a visit. It has bushwalking, camping, fishing, surfing, picnic areas, swimming and fantastic views! The beaches are pristine, the views are breathtaking and you might be lucky enough to see whales passing by. It is really worth the drive through it!

The Entrance really is a great place to visit. At the end of October each year they hold a Rockabilly festival over three days, The Chromefest. We will definitely be back to The Entrance for that weekend. Looking forward to it!! Details can be found on…

Easter Time 🐣

Happy Easter

Easter is a festival celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, in Christianity. Celebrations in many countries include Church Services, meals with family and friends, Easter Egg decorating, Easter Egg Giving (and eating), Easter Egg Hunt and The Easter Show.

Every year we love to go to the Easter Show, since the old days at Centennial Park, and this year we will be going again to Homebush, on Saturday.

Easter Sunday, after our Easter Egg hunt, and eating a lot of yummy chocolate eggs, we will go to lunch with all the extended family.

Summer Loving 💕

My family and I just enjoyed a two-week holiday down the south coast of NSW with two of our family friends. It was wonderful weather and we had the most fun time!

There is a lot of wildlife in the area we stay at, with many kangaroos, possums, ducks and native birds to interact with.

I also love shopping in the old town of Milton, especially my favourite shop, Nikky B’s which is full of vintage items & rockabilly clothes!

Also in Milton, there is a cute retro cafe which serves great food and has a fun atmosphere!

There is many other interesting areas close by to visit, including Ulladulla, Mollymook, Lake Conjola, Batemans Bay and Jervis Bay, to name a few.

We went shopping, swimming, bike riding, kayaking, boating, fishing, walking, sight seeing, a lot of eating and so much more… Although our holiday was jam-packed, it was still relaxing and fun.

It is a really good break to spend with your family and friends. I would recommend NSW’s South coast for a relaxing and fun filled family holiday. We can’t wait to go back!!
